The Northeast's premier trailride
On the Rocks 2004

This year's On the Rocks proved to be the largest event to date. Over 70 vehicles rendezvoused at Paragon Adventure Park for some of the nation's best wheeling. The weather on Saturday was wet and the trails were muddy and the mud was deep. Some LIOR members witnessed an XJ on 36's sink into a bottomless mudhole. After the guy was winched out his jeep spewed forth that famous Paragon water as he opened his door.

This was not the only deep water crossing of On the Rocks 2004. Two LIOR members decided to make sure their drain holes in the Jeeps were working. Bobby Coco riding in Big Yellow Jake dove right in and literally got his feet wet. Take a look at the photos and you might think Bob should have named the Jeep 'Yellow Submarine' instead of Jake. Our good friend Thrasher is not one to be left out of any action. He dove right in with his XJ. Well, he did make it out of the agua, but there were consequences. In addition to wet feet, our comrade lost some electronic equipment and gained plenty of sand and muck in his gears in addition to two frogs that he brought home for his cat Boo.

Everyone had a great time on the trails. No one broke anything major, but Dorthea did get to test out her newly lifted XJ and had the opportunity to add some beauty marks on the body of her Jeep. For a more detailed account of On the Rocks please see Doug Abrams report. He was the grand pooba of this event.
