A big THANKS to Bob Siwinski, owner and proprieter of Ocean State Offroad and brother Garrett for hosting this event. We don't get to see our brothers in the North East Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs very often, but it's alway fun to wheel with them.
Arranged through the NEA4WDC, this was billed as a stock trail with a couple of interesting go-arounds. And that's exactly what it was. Of course the stockers need to be vigilant; there are lots of rocks to either play on or avoid depending on clearance. The go-arounds however, weren't the usual 6 feet over, but were side trails, way out of sight. So if you had to bypass you still got some adventure. Adventure like 'Where the @#$% am I?' The obsticles are not single rocks, but areas. The first is a rock garden with a series of 2' boulders and no obvious line. The second is a climb to & descent of a rocky fin. The hardest line here was made by only 3 trucks, but none made it without some rock stacking or winching. |
